Testfabrics, Inc. provides many labor saving service functions
to its clientele such as cutting, slitting and preparation
of test specimens etc. Custom textile manufacturing including
dyeing and printing services are available subject to minimums.
Sample swatches of individual fabrics are available on request.
Pre-shipment samples for testing of specific items on orders
are available on request.
Sample preparation and distribution services are available.
Should your group wish to conduct a “round robin”
or “ring” style test using various locations,
we can prepare the test specimens and send them out to insure
all specimens are consistent with one another.
We can custom cut and sew any combination of soil test cloth
materials to provide uniform “multi-soil test pieces”.
Please let us know of any special requirements you might
have and we will do our best to provide you with the appropriate
test specimens to fit your needs.
Testfabrics, Inc. provides sewing services according to
customer requirements including overcast “merrow”
stitching, custom assembly of composite test specimens,
sample and “mock” garments, etc.
All fabrics, subject to a minimum quantity, can be cut to
customer specifications. Cutting charges are in addition
to the cost of the fabric.
NO CLAIMS ARE ACCEPTED AFTER FABRICS HAVE BEEN CUT TO ORDER
METHODS OF CUTTING
A. Ribbons (Minimum 20 meters):
 Circular
Blade Slitter – Fabric rolls can be cold cut to a
minimum width of 1/2”.
Hot
Knife Fusing Machine - Many synthetic fiber fabrics and
some polyester/cotton blends can be cut with fused edges,
to reduce and/or prevent fraying. Minimum width 2”.
B. Swatches (Minimum 1 meter):
Die cut and hand cut, with cutting room equipment.
Straight
Edges - Edges can be sewn with an overcast stitch to prevent
fraying.
Pinked
Edges - Edges are “pinked” (^^^^^^^^) to reduce
fraying of woven test materials.
Synthetic fiber fabrics can be cut with two fused edges
and two cold cut edges or with four fused edges provided
the swatch is no larger than 4” x 6”.
Fabrics
can be cut and balanced into five or ten gram pieces with
an adjusted tolerance as specified.
Available dies for fabric cutting. Custom dies made to order
for supplemental charge.
All sizes are in inches unless otherwise specified.

Testfabrics, Inc. maintains an internal laboratory for the
quality control testing of the raw materials it uses in
production, to evaluate the various inventory items it stocks
for distribution and to provide customer service and problem
solving. We are able to make small laboratory dyeings of
swatches and up to about 5 meter of fabric depending on
feasibility.
Full width dyeing services of small sample lots are available,
normal lot size is 30 mtrs.
Larger production dyeing services are available.
Testfabrics, Inc. has small laboratory padders and dryers
for custom application of textile finishes, dyes, appropriate
soil media and other similar applications. Competitive suppliers
products can be sampled and evaluated. Clients with limited
lab equipment and personnel can work with our laboratory
to produce the necessary samples they need.
In addition, Testfabrics, Inc. operates some full width
wet process equipment in a production facility where trial
application can also be made subject to project feasibility.
Our full width wash box is available for simple scouring
and washing off services.

With the advent of digital printing of textiles, Testfabrics,
Inc. has become a valuable resource for those groups involved
in this new technology. Digital equipment and software suppliers,
dye and chemical suppliers of products used in textile digital
printing, studios providing digital print services, individuals
producing their own art work, educators learning and teaching
new technologies are all part of this exciting group of
clients.
We have a wide range of piece goods in stock that are all
specifically “prepared for printing” and we
also provide the necessary application of pre-treatment
chemicals required for successful digital printing with
reactive, acid and disperse dyes.
We stock some materials for both reactive and acid dye printing
and we provide application services for goods from our inventory
as well as those supplied by clients.
