Berna Clamps
|
|
This
revolutionary clamping system is an invention
by one of the award winning inventor,
French Dr. Philippe Berna. His hobby in
restoring antique furniture had exhausted
the use of conventional clamping devices
because they were too heavy and clumsy.
Many times, these ''traditional'' clamps
would cause further damage to the object
being repaired. |

Drawing
on his knowledge of new space aged materials,
such as lightweight, strong carbon fiber
rods and ultra hard polycarbonate plastic,
Dr. Berna devised the first new clamping
system in decades. These new lightweight
clamps provide constant force that you
control. Their soft ''buffers'' help prevent
damage to the object being clamped. The
smooth carbon fibers shafts allow one
hand application. |

Master Series
(PA X)
|
|
These larger versions of the PRO series
are a true revolution in clamping tools!
No workbench or toolbox should be without
them. They use 3/8'' diameter carbon fiber
tubes, correspondingly larger polycarbonate
jaws and silicone buffers. You can create
a controlled pressure of as little as
you need up to 200 pounds and more with
your hands and arms! There are two jaw
sizes to choose from and three beam lengths
for a combination of 6 clamps. There are
also special end-to-end brass connecters
to extend their length. Special brackets
are available to connect them into ''cradle
helping hands'' for use as free form vise
to hold irregularly shaped objects securely
as you work.
