Mr.
Kenji Kitaoka Here to Introduce the ELISA Test Kits for
Environmental Pollutants from Takeda Chemical Industries
Ltd., Tokyo, Japan
We are honored to have Mr. Kenji Kitaoka with us from Takeda
Chemical Industries Ltd., Tokyo. Takeda has developed a
new line of ELISA technology test kits for industrial pollutants.
There are some of these kits specifically for detection
of surfactants in waste water and water for use as a raw
material. Mr. Kitaoka participated in the Environmental
Fate short course held prior to this AOCS conference. Dr.
David McCall of Master Chemical Products has agreed to help
us interface Mr. Kitaoka and interested parties regarding
these kits and their potential applications. Mr. Kitaoka
has additional literature for distribution and will be happy
to discuss this technology with you.
Testfabrics, Inc was introduced to Takeda and
Mr. Kitaoka by our Japanese sales associates, Nippon Shizai
of Osaka. Together with Nippon Shizai, we hope to be assisting
Takeda with the introduction and eventual distribution of
these kits to our clients involved in working with the environmental
aspects of their products.
The descriptive brochure for the ELISA Test Kit for LAS
follows on pages 2 and 3 of this newsletter.
Rulla
II Test Equipment for Measuring the Resistance to Wet Bacterial
Penetration of Surgical Drapes and Gowns
Testfabrics, Inc. has always been a crossroads of technologies.
The Rulla II equipment is produced by Schuett Labortechnik
of Germany and is an upgraded piece of experimental lab
equipment first developed by medical researchers in Sweden.
This equipment is currently in use by manufacturers of textile
non-woven materials and their clients producing surgical
apparel and accessories. This technology may be of interest
to those firms producing anti-microbial agents for textiles,
detergents and other applications. We have some copies of
test methods and procedures using this equipment for your
review on request. If you would like to discuss this further,
please contact Tom Klaas.
A picture and description of the Rulla II machine is on
page 4 of this newsletter.
