To Our Valued Clients And Partners In Education:
Re: Educators’ Update
Dear Friends,
We are pleased to be able to contact you though the fall
2000 ATEX Catalog.
Testfabrics, Inc. has had an active year to date with developments
that should be of interest to many of our textile education
professionals.
From our association with Dr. Mordeehai Livned at Bar Illan
University in Ramat, Israel, we have been working to develop
a new micro scale chemistry experiment exercise using various
swatches of our single fiber and multifiber fabrics along
with some specific dyes. This has been successfully presented
by Dr. Mordeehai Livned at various seminars for university
and secondary school chemistry educators in Europe and the
US and has generated some interest for such kits. If you
would like to contact hi, for a copy of his experiment please
email him at: livnehm@mail.biu.ac.il
In Addition, together with Ms. Hilary Gifford, our textile
surface design consultant and a recognized textile artisan
and entrepreneur, we would like to offer her professional
services teaching surface design work shops at your institutions.
Hilary has been teaching at Syracuse for the past year while
producing her own artwork and helping interface Testfabrics,
Inc. with its textile art clientele. IF you would be interested
arranging a workshop with Hilary, please let us know.
Our new lab manger, Mr. Shawn Meeks, is also available for
guest lectures in teaching textile dyeing and related hands-on
seminars in your laboratories. Shawn is a 1993 Textile Chemistry
graduate form NCSU and has worked in various capacities
in the textile industry including positions as lab manager,
dyer & color matcher, dye house production management
and trouble-shooter.
Please not that we will once again be exhibitors at the
upcoming AATCC ICE in Winston Salem and look forwards to
seeing many of you there.
Our website has several of our current newsletters and announcements
and you might be interested to check it from time to time.
The announcements concerning our pretreated fabrics for
surface design and digital printing with dyes are some new
areas you might like to review
If we can be of any further service, please contact us!
Thank you,
Tom Klaas
